Meet Lucy! She is a 10 month old, 42lb yellow lab hound mix who was surrendered to a shelter.
Personality:
Lucy is a sweet girl with a gentle heart who arrived at rescue timid and shy. She can be nervous when meeting new people but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate and loving personality starts to shine through. She is an absolute snuggle bug! She loves toys and bones and has such a playful spirit. She is currently in foster with 2 other dogs and is very dog friendly. She would thrive in a home with another dog to help her build confidence and teach her the ropes.
Training:
Lucy is still learning the basics but is making huge strides. She is almost housetrained and will go to the door when she needs out. She sleeps through the night uncrated without issue. She is still learning to be more comfortable in a crate (she can be vocal at first). She is a great leash walker and loves to explore outside. She doesn’t know any commands but is very treat motivated and will learn quickly.
Medical Disclosure: Lucy is heartworm positive. She will be on exercise restriction until she is through treatment. CLR will cover the cost of care.
Updates

Lucy loves…Food, Toys, other dogs, outdoor time, and couch naps. She is so adorable!
Lucy has already made big strides with basic training. She is learning to go to the door when she needs outside and is having fewer accidents. She is very smart and a quick learner so she will have it down soon!
