Updates

Foster update

Aries took a few days to finally settle. He is a high-energy, smart and sweet boy.
He plays gently, takes treats gently, and is always up for a walk or play. He definitely seems trained; he’s an expert at fetch, he brings you the ball, drops it on command, and knows sit and down. He doesn’t have a long attention span or much focus, but it’s most likely due to his ongoing adjustment.
He was very anxious during the first couple of days, reacting to every sound and following us around.  He is doing better now but is still building his confidence.
Other than that, he walks well on the leash, is a stick connoisseur, is friendly with dogs, does seem to want to chase small animals, but backed off the neighborhood cat very quickly after it hissed pointedly. He is very friendly with all people, but does have some guarding instincts and barks at people passing our house on the street. He goes into the crate by himself (with some treat motivation) and settles well for the night. He loves playing fetch and sniffing around on walks. Not a super big cuddler, but will try to squeeze himself behind you on the couch when you’re sitting down.
He is, overall, a very very good boy!
