Meet Lemon! She is a 9 month old, 50lb yellow lab that was surrendered by her owner. She is a very shy and timid girl and city/apartment living was not a good fit to help her shine.
Personality: Lemon is a sweet, gentle soul who is looking for a patient family to help her blossom. She can be shy and timid when meeting new people or experiencing new situations, but underneath that cautious exterior is a loving dog who wants to trust and connect.
Training: She would benefit from continued socialization and basic training to help her gain confidence and learn new skills. Lemon isn’t looking for perfection—just someone willing to cheer her on and celebrate the little victories along the way.
Lemon is still learning that the world is a safe place, so she’ll do best with adopters who understand that confidence takes time to build. With kindness, consistency, and positive reinforcement, she has so much potential to grow into a wonderful companion.

If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, Lemon may be your girl! This sweet pup is a certified velcro dog who loves being close to her people and is happiest when she’s part of whatever you’re doing.
Lemon has settled into foster life beautifully. She has been great in the house with no accidents and no destructive behavior. She’s also doing well in her crate and has proven to be an easy houseguest.
When it comes to walks, Lemon is a pleasant companion. She’ll pull a little and likes to weave from side to side as she explores the world, but overall she walks nicely and is very manageable on a leash.
As for quirks? Lemon’s biggest “flaw” is that she is absolutely thrilled when her people come home. She greets returning family members like they’ve been gone for years, complete with excited barking and happy chaos while she burns off some of that enthusiasm. It’s hard to blame a dog for being that excited to see her favorite people!
Lemon is a loving, affectionate girl with a wonderful temperament and an easygoing nature. She has been a joy to foster and is ready to bring lots of love, companionship, and a little bit of happy excitement to her forever home.
