Meet Holister!  He is a 2 year old, 80lb yellow lab that was found stray in Tennessee.

Personality:
Holister has a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s incredibly friendly and loves meeting new people, greeting everyone with a happy wagging tail and an excited smile. He’s social, outgoing, and thrives on being around his humans — in fact, he’d happily stay by your side all day if he could. Holister is truly a love bug who just wants to be included in whatever you’re doing.

He is great with kids and would likely love having human siblings to play with and follow around. Holister would do best with someone who is home often and can give him the companionship and attention he craves. He cannot live with cats.

Holister still has plenty of young Lab energy and would love an active home where he can stretch his legs and enjoy structured exercise. A large yard would be ideal for him, as he enjoys running and exploring, but he’ll also need daily walks, adventures, and engagement beyond just yard time to help keep both his body and mind happy.

Training:
Holister already has a wonderful foundation and is eager to learn even more. He knows “sit,” “stay,” and “paw,” and he takes treats gently from your hand like a true gentleman. He’s incredibly smart and has already shown how quickly he can improve with consistency and guidance.

When Holister first arrived, leash walking was a challenge, but after just a few days of dedicated work, he made huge progress and now walks right beside his people with only minimal pulling. His willingness to learn and bond with his humans makes him a rewarding dog to work with, and continued structure and exercise will help him continue to thrive.
