Meet Mufassa and Simba!  They were found stray together in Mississippi and appear to be a bonded pair.  Mufassa is a 2 year old male.  Simba is a 3 month old male.  It is believed that Mufassa might be Simba’s father.

Mufassa is a loving, calm, and incredibly gentle dad who is deeply attached to his baby. He’s settled beautifully into our routine and seems very comfortable in a home environment. He’s highly food-motivated (great for training!), doing well with potty habits, and has wonderful house manners. Mufassa enjoys playing with his foster brother, loves toys and a good game of fetch, and is happiest when he can spend time in the yard or relax near his people.

Simba is a confident, sweet puppy who is learning quickly by watching his dad. He’s doing fantastic with potty training, does well in his crate, and loves playing—especially with balls, which he proudly carries around the house. He follows Mufassa everywhere, clearly taking cues on how to be a “big boy,” and their bond is truly heartwarming to watch.

Both boys are very affectionate and seek out love and comfort from their people. They share a beautiful connection while also showing their own personalities. This dad-and-son duo brings double the love, playfulness, and companionship.

Medical Disclosure:  Mufassa is recovering from a. herniated disc in his lower back.  He had a laminectomy and is on the road to recovery.  Rehab will be 4 weeks.

Updates

Good boys update!!

Simba thought it was about time to give an update to show everyone what a big boy he is becoming. He is such a smart and confident little guy who loves to play and routinely walks around with a ball in his mouth. Loves instigating fun, but also loves snuggle time after playing. He has become a great little walker, has mastered the art of doing his business outside, and loves exploring in the yard. All of his favorite things are even better when Mufassa is right next to him!

Mufassa is the sweetest boy who cries with happiness when he sees you in the morning. He loves toys, chewing on bones, and looks forward to his walks with his buddy, Simba. He has successfully rehabbed from his recent surgery for a ruptured disc and is doing wonderfully. He is a great snuggler and he looks at you with appreciation for what his life has become.

These boys are great buddies and have been a joy to foster. They keep each other entertained, but also have plenty of one on one love to give to their humans!
