Meet Ruby!  She is a 2 year old, 65lb black lab that was found stray.

Personality:  Ruby is a lovable, sweet soul and an absolute doll of a dog. She’s still a puppy at heart and has lots of playful, joyful energy, but she does settle down nicely after she’s had time to run and play. Watching Ruby run is a sight to behold—she gallops like a horse, gracefully flying through the trees and across the grass. She has a lot of energy and truly needs a yard (or more) where she can stretch her legs and burn it off.

Despite her active side, Ruby is also a world-class snuggler. She loves curling up on the couch and sleeps well in bed at night. She is wonderful with teenagers but may accidentally knock over younger children with her enthusiastic affection and excitement. Ruby doesn’t like being alone and will happily be your shadow, following you from room to room. She’s also a natural protector with a deep bark—no security system needed!

Training:   Ruby is potty trained but not crate trained. She does well when left alone as long as the home is puppy-proofed, as she does love to chew and has enjoyed sampling a few pairs of shoes.

Ruby does not shed much and may be a mix of Great Dane, Pointer, and/or Weimaraner. She is not suited for apartment living, townhomes, or small yards due to her energy level and need for space. In her current foster home, she lives with a dominant female Frenchie and respects that the Frenchie is in charge, though Ruby does enjoy playfully antagonizing her.  She loves other dogs!
