Meet Prince!  He is a yellow lab that was found stray in Kentucky.

Personality:  Prince has a calm, friendly disposition and a truly tender heart. Although he initially appeared fearful when leaving the hospital, he settled in quickly and showed a remarkable turnaround—beginning to wag his tail, seek out human affection, and engage with those around him. He is incredibly sweet and enjoys attention from people. Prince co-exists well with other dogs and loves to play.

Training:  Prince walks well on a leash and is responsive to guidance, showing good potential for continued training. He is highly food-motivated and takes treats gently, which will help continued training . His willingness to engage and learn suggests he will continue to gain confidence and skills in a consistent, supportive home environment.

Updates

Prince has been at my home for a week and has settled in well.  No accidents, good behavior.  Has really only barked when he was outside in fenced area and wants to come in.  He is still young so sometimes has some bursts of energy, zooming around the yard. He is good with other dogs and did not bother my grandson’s 5 month old kitten when we visited their home.  Prince was good with my grandsons ages 6-15.
Prince is very treat motivated and is doing well learning commands.  He knows sit and down and we are working on stay. He walks well on the leash, doesn’t pull, but hold tight if he spots a squirrel! He sometimes seems a bit cautious or nervous if we meet someone while walking the trails at the Nature Center (more so with men who are wearing a hat), but no aggressive behavior.
He doesn’t seem to mind the crate too much, but he’s generally only in there when I am not at home.  He likes to cuddle up on the sofa and he sleeps well through the night in my room.  Prince is a great dog and would be a good addition to any home.
