Updates
Kylo has the best personality—a perfect blend of playful and snuggly, friendly and curious. He forms quick bonds with “his” people and is a total joy to have around. Within 15 minutes of arriving at our home, he and our resident dog were fast friends, immediately diving into games of tug-of-war with whatever toy they could find. When playtime was over, Kylo would seek out the closest dog bed, pillow, or lap to rest his head—he’s a world-class cuddler.
One of Kylo’s most endearing qualities is his ability to match your energy throughout the day. Whether you’re up and active or taking it slow, he’s right there with you.
We’re thrilled to share that Kylo was in perfect health throughout his stay with us and had zero seizures. His medication routine couldn’t be easier—just a couple of pills with meals, and he’s good to go. A spoonful of peanut butter made it even easier and more fun for him.
Kylo adjusted well to our downtown lifestyle with no yard, though he clearly loved his daily long walks. We encountered lots of other dogs in close quarters, which sometimes made him barky or nervous, but we had great success redirecting him with training treats. With continued positive reinforcement, we’re confident he’ll keep improving. That said, he would absolutely thrive with a yard to explore—he’s a curious guy who enjoys having space to roam.
Bottom line—don’t overlook Kylo because of his medical history. He is an absolute gem of a family dog, and giving him his meds is a breeze. You’ll be gaining a loyal, loving, and joyful companion who brings heart and happiness to every da
Kylo Foster Update
We traveled for spring break and Kylo went to temporary foster. His temp foster said he did great! He was a perfect gentleman!
Kylo blended back in with our dogs immediately as he remembered us all. He found a new hang out place on our window bench. He is an A+ Napper.
He continues to be such a good boy. He loves to be outside and loves to go on walks. He does have a higher prey drive so we recommend a home with a physical fence. He likes to sniff around and explore!
He fully accepts any love and attention that comes his way, but is also content with laying by himself and looking out the window.
He is totally stable on his meds and that is the only way we have any indication of a condition.
He would make a great addition to any family!
Kylo is such a good boy. He is doing very well in our home getting along with his foster canine sister. He enjoys chewing chew toys and ropes. He leaves our Christmas tree alone along with any of our decorations and personal items.
He is really good at reading the room. If his foster sibling wants to play, he engages. If she is content napping, so is he. He enjoys being around us and is usually not far from where we are. He is potty trained and as stated previously, he sits, shakes and lays down. Kylo is very food motivated. He does well in a crate. We crate him when we are gone and at night although, we may start leaving him out at night. I think he would prefer to be with us.
Kylo is a big boy, and strong. He is also a bit of a gentle giant so I think will make a great pet for most anyone. He really is a gem of a dog.
