Meet Keebler!  He is a 6 year old, 75lb yellow lab that was surrendered to a shelter by his owner after they could no longer care for him.

Personality:  Keebler is a sweet and gentle boy who enjoys the company of both people and other dogs.  Though he may be a little nervous at first, once he warms up, he is incredibly sweet and affectionate. Keebler was an indoor dog until three years ago, and he would love to return to a cozy home where he can truly be part of the family.

Training:  Keebler has excellent kennel manners, staying calm and keeping his space clean. While he may need a little time to adjust to a new routine, he knows most of the basics and is such a good boy!

Volunteer update – Keeblers day out!
Thanks for the chance to take Keebler out and spend some time at the house. What a great dog!
He was timid at first and I had to pick him up to get him into the car. He warmed up quickly at the house and literally wanted to just walk the yard the play with a tennis ball. I did get him to come inside but you could tell he was less comfortable. Probably just a matter of time.

We have a barking chihuahua next to us and Keebler barely looked at him except to do a couple trots up and down the decline. Then he just ignored him.

He was the perfect gentleman and such a great companion.

Volunteer update

This handsome guy is an absolute sweetheart! He’s a big, lovable pup who did well on the leash—no major pulling, but he does like to roam back and forth while walking.

One of the best things about him? He’s super chill around other dogs. Even when others were barking or reacting, he stayed calm and didn’t make a sound. He also did his business outside, so he’s likely at least somewhat housetrained.

Overall, he’s a fantastic dog with a great temperament. If you’re looking for a friendly, easygoing companion, he might be the perfect match!
