Meet Janet! She is a 2 year old, 55lb black lab thay was rescued from a breeder.
Personality
Janet is a gentle, sweet-natured girl who is blossoming a little more every day. While she’s still timid, she’s beginning to let her personality shine through. One of her biggest recent milestones is that her tail has started wagging, and she happily follows her people around the house—especially if they’re in the kitchen preparing food. (Cheese is definitely one of her favorite treats!) Janet also has an adorable habit of collecting toys, gathering her favorites into her own little stash. She’s looking for a patient family that will let her build confidence at her own pace, and she’ll reward them with every hard-earned tail wag and moment of trust.
Training
Janet loves her crate and considers it her safe space. She happily goes in and out on her own when the door is left open. She’s still nervous when people need to touch around her neck, such as putting on a slip lead or attaching a leash, so she’ll need a family that will continue using gentle, positive reinforcement to help build her confidence. With consistency, patience, and plenty of cheese, Janet continues to make wonderful progress each day.
