Ice is a 3yr old, 79 lb. adorable sweet lady.  She arrived to CLR nursing two, very young puppies but was put directly into a foster home to take care of her babies.  Both puppies have been adopted and now mom is ready to find her forever home.  Below is the description of Ice from her current foster.

Ice is thoroughly enjoying being a part of a family. While she was an excellent mama who took great care of her babies – she is ready to be the one getting the snuggles and attention. She adores belly rubs and believes that laps are the best places to sit! She is definitely a “people” dog and loves humans of all sizes, even ones wearing uniforms! She’s a good little watch dog, alerting us to all new visitors but greets everyone with a wiggle and a smile!
She was probably and outside/kennel dog but she has picked up housebreaking like a champ. She loves her crate and often naps in there by choice. She has nice leash manners and has enjoyed walks to get away from her babies a bit. She is playful and loves toys but is also quick to settle.  I would not characterize her as a “high energy” Labrador. She knows several commands – and is a very quick learner.
She is dog friendly but prefers humans – she has not met a cat that I’m aware. She does not like car rides but with training and positive reinforcement I am sure she will come to see that there is no danger. She is not a flight risk but she does like to follow her nose like any lab, so a fence (either above ground or e fence) will make life easier for her to safely explore.
She is truly a gem – I wish we could keep her. My heart will break a little when she leaves because she is such a joy to have in our house. Any family will be incredibly blessed to adopt her and I hope she is treasured. She deserves it! She worked so hard to keep her babies safe and healthy (and they are!) and now it’s her turn to be loved and doted upon by a family.  We love you, sweet girl.
