Meet Hank! He is an 10 month old, 36lb yellow lab that that was found stray in Kentucky.
Personality
Hank is a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky pup who is always ready for his next adventure. At just 36 pounds, he’s a smaller pup, making him a great choice for someone looking for a more medium-sized companion. Hank is a total goofball who loves to explore and is always curious about what’s going on around him. He absolutely loves playing with other dogs and is often the one encouraging the resident dog to wrestle, chase, and play. Whether he’s romping around the yard, investigating something new, or carrying around a toy, Hank approaches life with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. When playtime is over, he’s more than happy to soak up attention and never says no to a good belly rub. His affectionate personality and zest for life make him a joy to be around, and he’ll keep you smiling with his playful antics.
Training
Hank is an eager learner who already knows the commands “sit” and “down.” Like many puppies his age, he can get excited and may jump up to say hello or get a little mouthy during play, but he responds well to redirection and is making great progress with consistent guidance. He’s also learning that wearing a collar and walking on a leash are all part of the adventure. Since he was found as a stray, these experiences seem to be fairly new to him, but he is gaining confidence every day.
Hank settles beautifully in his crate, goes in quietly, relaxes with no fuss, and keeps his crate clean. He’s also doing very well with his potty training, following a regular schedule outside and having only minimal accidents as he adjusts to his new routine. With positive reinforcement, continued training, and plenty of opportunities for exercise and enrichment, Hank will make an amazing companion for an active family that’s ready to continue his journey.
