Gold Nugget is a 3 yr. old, 52 lb. happy boy filled with sweetness, playfulness and love. He rides well in cars and is good with other dogs. Gold Nugget enjoys being outside and with people. He would be best with an active family. Good on a leash. Love is a four-legged word so share your heart and home with this joyful boy.

Mr. G. Nugget arrived into foster care this weekend….what an absolute gem! He has a very calm and friendly demeanor and has been an amazing houseguest! I had some family in town this weekend so he met 3 kids, 3 adults, and 2 new dogs. He did amazing! FOSTER UPDATE
He was fast friends with everyone!
Aside from food, his favorite things in the world are toys and bones. He loves to raid the dog toy bin and settle onto his dog bed. He is a chill little dude!
As for training, he seems to know a few basic commands. He is SUPER food motivated so any additional training should come easily. He seems to be housetrained, and he also slept quietly in a crate last night. He has great house manners! Good boy, G’Nuggs!
We went in a long walk this morning, and he did really well. He can weave a little bit but otherwise he has good leash manners. We did a trip through Hyde Park and he was very confident. No fear of loud traffic or strangers.
Golden Nugget is such an amazing dog! He would be a great addition to any family!
VOLUNTEER UPDATE
Nugget continues to thrive with Cincinnati Lab Rescue. The doggy daycare workers say he is such a good boy and keeps his kennel clean. At times, they say he is ready to return to his kennel from doggy daycare because he enjoys his eating time inside the kennel. When walking Nugget, he is calm in his clean kennel but is always eager for his walks. He has gotten much better on the leash by walking him with a prong collar. Nugget has gotten so good on a leash that we believe he would be a great dog for someone who likes to run. We have run with him and he runs perfectly positioned, in a straight line, and sure does enjoy it. He listens well and we are so impressed with his growth.
Nugget was very well mannered when taken to the CLR car wash event on 6/23/23 and interacted well with the people and other dogs . Nugget even soaked up the attention when being petted by the kids. Also, he rode nicely in the car to the event.
Nugget was given a nice, clean bath yesterday and enjoyed every minute of it. He was not bothered by the water and was very well mannered staying in the tub. Nugget is the best boy ready for his forever home!

Nugget is a complete package! He has been hanging out with the big dogs at doggy daycare having the best time. He enjoys long walks and is very affectionate towards everyone he meets. Nugget is an obedient dog and enjoys treats as you can see on the video. He brings confidence, smarts and sweetness all packaged together.
