Bruiser – ADOPTED

DBruiser is a loving and handsome dog who was surrendered by his family of nearly five years.  He is an AKC registered dog and will turn five next January.  His lineage is hunting dogs, and he has been an outside dog but should easily transition into being an inside dog.  His family described him as a sweet,  bit oaf and his only flaw was that he chased cats and ducks, which just wasn’t working for his family. He has become the favorite at our facility and today we were told that absolutely everyone loves him.  He was recently neutered, and we anticipate that will curtail his prey drive. He is seriously overweight and arrived at CLR at  101 pounds. We have been working on weight management and he’s already dropped nearly 10 pounds!  Way to go, Bruiser, but the excessive weight has being hard on his joints. We are pleased that in the short time he’s been with CLR, he has already dropped some needed weight but no worries since there is still plenty to love about this wonderful dog.
