Meet Cowboy! He is an 8 month old, 55lb chocolate lab mix that was surrendered by a backyard doodle breeder.
Personality: Cowboy is a sweet, gentle soul with a heart as big as his puppy paws. He can be a little scared and timid at first, but once he feels safe, his affectionate side comes out quickly. He loves being close to his people and enjoys gentle attention and reassurance. Cowboy has a playful, puppy spirit and does great with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him a wonderful fit for a variety of homes. He’s the kind of pup who just wants to belong and will truly blossom with patience and love.
Training: Cowboy appears to be house trained and does well riding in the car—he’s happy to tag along for adventures or errands. He’s still learning his leash manners and will need continued leash training, but he’s young and eager to learn. With consistent guidance and positive reinforcement, he’s going to do great. Cowboy would thrive in a home that understands shy puppies and is willing to help him build confidence at his own pace.
