Willow is a sweet, soft-spirited 2-year-old who is ready for her second chance at the loving life she truly deserves. Found as a stray and far too scared to approach anyone, she has come a long way—and once she trusts you, she’ll offer up belly-up snuggles and soak in affection.

Willow is shy at first, but with patience and gentle reassurance, she blossoms into a loving, loyal companion. She adores slow, peaceful walks where she can sniff to her heart’s content, and she is a zommies regular outside! She’s very food-motivated, knows sit and paw, and rides beautifully in the car.

We believe Willow may have some Great Pyrenees (or a similar breed) in her, which may contribute to a bit of resource guarding in the home only with other dogs. Outside of the home, she does wonderfully with dog introductions and is not dog-aggressive at all. She simply prefers being the only dog when settling in at home.

Willow is also wonderfully trustworthy—she can be left loose or crated with absolutely no issues and never gets into anything she shouldn’t.

This gentle girl is looking for a patient, loving home that will let her come out of her shell at her own pace. Once she does, she’ll reward you with devotion, snuggles, and the sweetest companionship.

Updates

Foster update:
Willow has settled into the house routine after only one day.  I’ll echo what her temporary foster said, she is a big sweetie!  She loves attention but isn’t overly pushy to get it.
Willow‘s pretty laid back but does like to run around when she’s outside. She gets along fine with my dog and the neighbor dog on the other side of the fence.  No aggression, just running back and forth barking and wagging tails.  She’s also fine with my cats, mostly just curious.
She eats politely and takes treats nicely. Training-wise, she’s house trained (so far), knows sit and shake, appears to be OK outside a crate when left alone and she slept quietly through the night.
I had family over for lunch today and Willow  soaked up all of the attention. Everyone commented on how calm she was and we’re surprised she had only been with me for a day. She passed the being around people test with flying colors!
Willow wants me to tell everyone to come and see her soon so she can find the forever home this wonderful dog deserves!
