Meet Peppermint Patty!  She is a 2 year old, 60lb lab mix that was surrendered with her puppies.

Patty and her pups are a true story of rescue.  Her owner attempted to euthanize Patty along with her 7 puppies because they were no longer wanted.  We are so grateful to be a part of their rescue story!

Personality:  Patty is a sweet, gentle, and affectionate girl who was a devoted mom to her puppies. She loves snuggling on the couch and soaking up attention from her humans. Patty also has a playful side—she’s especially fond of playing with balls and enjoys quality playtime.

She’s still adjusting to her new environment, and she is building her confidence as she gets used to new sounds and experiences. Patty has a calm demeanor indoors and settles nicely.  She is a great balance of playfulness and alertness. She’ll make a loyal and loving companion for a family who can match her active and affectionate nature.

Training:  Patty is making great progress in her training! In just one day, she’s already learning basic commands like “come” and “sit.” She’s highly food-motivated, which makes her eager to learn and easy to train. While she pulls on the leash during walks, her size and strength are manageable, and she’s improving quickly—often responding well to “heel” after just half a mile.

Patty sleeps through the night in her crate, settling down after a little whining. She’s also learning to take treats gently and is proving to be a quick learner. With consistent training, she’ll continue to thrive and make a wonderful addition to an active, loving family.

If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate dog, Patty might be your perfect match!
