John is such a happy, good boy! As his videos below show, he is an easy going, friendly fellow who is very confident of himself and his surroundings and extremely obedient. John is good with other dogs and people and is aged around 2 yrs old by vet and weighs 79 lbs. (underweight). He walks like a “champ” on a leash as he walks at a great pace and does not pull. John is an ideal companion with a great temperament. He takes treats easily out of your hand and knows how to sit. John is a very smart boy and is a people pleaser so he is sure to know many other commands in a short amount of time. John came to CLR as a stray from Mississippi.
Note: John is heartworm positive, and CLR will be responsible for his treatment. Please make sure you keep up with HW prevention.

VOLUNTEER UPDATE
Amazing dog is what comes to mind when you spend some time with this fantastic boy! We took John out for a fun day. When we picked him up, he rode very well mannered in the car hopping in and out of the car on his own while also sitting on backseat. Next, he was taken to a house to be bathed. He was very obedient and calm while being bathed. After his bathing, John met two large labs at the house. Immediately, there were tail wags and confidence illuminating from John. He was very friendly and calm with both dogs. All three dogs hung out by the pool and played for a bit of time. John enjoyed some fine treats and was quite the gentleman taking treats out of the hand. Finally, we took John for a trail walk at the local park which he thoroughly enjoyed. He got excited to see the wildlife but was such a good boy on the leash not pulling or tugging. He was very well mannered when passing dogs and was very excited to see kids and people along the walk. Time well spent with this fine fellow!!!
